The portability of measurement equipment has always been a concern for engineers performing maintenance and field work. To solve these issues, SIGLENT Technologies presents THE SIGLENT SHS800X/1000X series of portable instruments, which have been developed specifically for field work and industrial applications. Both model families integrate an oscilloscope, recorder, and multimeter functions into a convenient easy-to-use design. This series of products combine excellent measurement performance with extremely high portability, and can be widely used in large number of complex test environments.
April 21st , 2022 SIGLENT Technologies has recently released two "5-in-1" handheld oscilloscope families, the SHS800X and SHS1000X series of portable measurement products which integrate a dual-channel oscilloscope, multimeter, serial triggering and decoding, spectrum analysis, data logging into one battery powered portable device. The SHS800X series and SHS1000X series are not only powerful, but also weigh only 1.7 kg and have a battery life of up to 5.5 hours. They are also rugged and dependable, boasting an IP51 waterproof and dustproof rated design that enables them to maintain their excellent performance in complex and harsh environments.
Both series are available in 200 MHz and 100 MHz analog bandwidths, a single ADC with 1 GSa/s maximum sample rate, and a single memory module with 12 Mpts of memory depth. For ease-of-use, the most commonly used functions can be accessed with its user-friendly front panel design.
The innovative digital trigger system delivers high sensitivity and low jitter, and a waveform capture rate of up-to 400,000 frames/sec. The SHS also employs a 256-level intensity grading display function and a color temperature display mode for clarity and fast fault identification. After the waveform is acquired, the result can easily be stored as a file or image with one click for subsequent analysis.
The SHS1000X series features full isolation between the two oscilloscope channels, one multimeter channel, power adapter and the USB host/device port. Each channel on a SHS1000X oscilloscope is isolated from the chassis ground and from each other. The full isolation makes it ideal for both laboratory and floating signal measurement because it reduces the risk of accidental short circuits. The max voltage input to the analog scope inputs is CATIII 600 Vrms, CATII 1000 Vrms. It enables users to tackle tough environments with the performance you expect from Siglent- safely and affordably.
Serial protocol bus often need to be observed while working in automotive and embedded industries. The SHSX products have multiple powerful triggering modes including serial bus triggering as well as free serial decoding for IIC, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN bus types, which makes them more able to meet the test requirements of on-site decoding in automotive and embedded industries.
Another powerful addition is the new FFT math function. The SHSX's feature a 1 million point FFT function that greatly improves the accuracy of spectrum analysis, and the hardware design also makes math operations much faster. The built-in analysis function allows direct marking of data such as frequency and corresponding amplitude, together with a variety of window types, make it possible to meet diverse spectrum analysis needs.
The SHS series integrates a 6000 count Hardware-based True RMS multimeter, which can measure DC/AC Voltage, DC/AC Current, Resistance, Capacitance, Diodes, and Continuity. This function greatly enhances the efficiency of field testing in conventional measurement environments.
The measured values of the oscilloscope functions and multimeter can be recorded at the same time. Up to 4 sets of measured values can be recorded simultaneously and played back later. The waveform recorder function can also continuously record waveforms for up to 22 hours at a sampling rate of 25 kSa/s.
The SHS800X and SHS1000X series handheld oscilloscope have a lightweight frame and are equipped with powerful functions enabling them to improve test efficiency for customers in the most demanding test environments.
