12-bit ADC:waveform details are clearly visible
SDS3000X HD series oscilloscopes are equipped with 12-bit high-resolution ADC, with quantization level up to 4096, and the resolution can be increased to 16-bit in high-resolution mode (ERES), which together with the vertical and horizontal zoom functions, helps users observe the details of waveforms in a more complete and clearer way.
ENOB - Effective Number of ADC Bits
When a high-speed ADC performs data acquisition, the signal-to-noise-to-distortion ratio of the actual ADC falls short of the desired performance that its nominal number of bits should achieve due to noise and distortion. Since the ADC is only a part of the oscilloscope system and cannot be used independently, the ENOB indicator of the whole oscilloscope system will be more meaningful.
SDS3000X HD is up to 8.3 to 8.6-bit, with less time error and frequency spuriousness, which can effectively ensure the accuracy of measurement.

Multiple trigger types
SDS3000X HD series oscilloscopes provide a variety of trigger types, including edge, interval, video, serial bus, area triggering, etc. Among them, area triggering is different from traditional triggering, which can be applied to episodic signals whose parameter characteristics are not yet clear, and the signal capture can be completed by creating and defining an area using only the mouse or touch.
Bus trigger supports I2C, SPI, CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, I2S, MIL-STD-1553B, SENT and other buses, providing test solutions for embedded, automotive, computer and other serial buses.

Power analysis:quickly get power parameters
SDS3000X HD can be equipped with optional power supply analysis function, together with Siglent's voltage probes (e.g., DPB5000 series) and current probes (e.g., CP6000 series), it can quickly and accurately analyze 12 parameters of power supply such as power quality, current harmonics, inrush current, transient response, etc.
For example, to improve the efficiency of the power supply by minimizing switching loss, to evaluate the working stability of the device by counting the probability that the power device transients exceed the safe working zone under all working conditions.

50MHz waveform generator
SDS3000X HD can be directly connected to the waveform generator SAG1021I via the USB interface. With a sampling rate of 125MSa/s and 14-bit resolution, the SAG1021I provides predefined waveform outputs of up to 50MHz, including sine, square, triangle, pulse, noise, DC, and 45 built-in arbitrary waveforms.
Users can also edit arbitrary waveforms through the EasyWave host computer software. The plug-and-play nature of the SAG1021I allows users to quickly and easily set up tests for a wide range of scientific experiments and industrial control applications.
